Greetings, Neighbours!

As you know, last year a sign was installed at the White Hills Run entrance of our subdivision. This year, we are hoping to complete some beautification activities including hardscaping the site, creating a low-maintenance landscaping plan, and carrying out this plan to the extent that the budget allows. Going forward, there will also be periodic maintenance required, weeding, fertilizing, etc.

We would like to keep this work in the community and support local businesses if at all possible. We are seeking expressions of interest from landscaping or gardening companies in the community.

Just wondering what the plan is for the sign... I see there is nothing there and the site is cleaned up... The Fence? PLants grass? Culvert prep? What's next

According to the budget voted on for Front Entrance landscaping work at last year's AGM, this year we are doing a stone retaining wall around the curve, clearout of the weeds, bringing in some soil for future plantings, putting rock serge in the ditch (again, to keep the weeds down) and planting trees/mulching/landscape fabric along the top. The work should be progressing over the next 2 weeks.

ccarrier 20 Aug : 08:40 Reply to this Is something going to be done about the black paint wearing/coming off of the slate? it looks really awfull and if our neighbourhood sign looks this unkept (even at barely two years old) people will think that the whole sub-diviision is run-down and we do get alot of "visits" to the QE11 homes......

I had a look at it this weekend, I think what you're referring to is the staining from the paintballs with which the sign was hit last Halloween. The actual background of the sign is undamaged as far as I can see. All efforts to date to remove the paintball damage have failed but if you think you can get it to come off, you're welcome to have a crack at it! :-)

Hello again the wall looks great so far, will there be a cap/stone topper on the wall or is this the finished product, I see there is still stones in the ditch, which was blocking flow of water from the storm... Are we rebuilding the fence? the plants already there seem sparce to actually fill in the property line, there should be another one inbetween each one, and that will fill in nicely...
